TRA collaborates with Southampton University & Cranfield University, UK

The Chairman TRA alongwith the Deputy Director Research and Secretary visited Southampton University and Cranfield University from 10thto 16th June. Discussions on collaborative study in the field of soils, climate change and development of bio-sensors for pesticide detection were discussed with Cranfield University . The on-going project on Climate Change with Southampton University funded by UKIERI-DBT was reviewed and it was decided that the findings of the project will be disseminated to the industry through a seminar in early 2016 at Tocklai. Under the Southampton TRA climate project an interactive website have been hosted namely http://teaclimate.com/ which members may kindly visit. Cranfield University have proposed to carry out collaborative research on soils and climate change by seeking funds from Natural Environment Research Council under the UK Government for an amount of GBP 120000.
